Please use this form to ask for a place in the 8th Norwich (Norwich School) Sea Scout Group.
- Beavers (Year 1s from the start of Trinity Term).
- Spaces are limited. Allocation will be based on the order applications are received;
- Earliest entry will be the term they turn 6 years old;
- Applications are only accepted from Year 1s and above, i.e. must be 6 or more years old by the next 31st August;
- Applications for Year 1s open on 1st October.
- Cubs (Year 3s from the start of Trinity Term);
- Scouts (Year 6s from the start of Trinity Term);
- Explorers (Year 9s from the start of Trinity Term).
Note that Trinity Term starts after Easter. See also the guidance on mapping between the Norwich School and national year groups. If your child is in a different year group from the one implied by their date of birth, please tell us that in the “Additional Information” field of the form.
This form is intended for NEW membership requests, and not for transfers between sections. If you are asking to move up to the next section (e.g. Beavers to Cubs, Cubs to Scouts or Scouts to Explorers), please use one of the request to transfer forms, which can be found on the My Members page.

The 8th Norwich is sponsored by the Norwich School, so youth membership is open primarily to members of the Norwich School (Lower School, Senior School and Sixth Form). You may apply for a place at any time after accepting a place at the Norwich School. At times of high demand, we operate a waiting list.
Not from the Norwich School? We are able to offer some places for young people who are not from the Norwich School in sections apart from Beavers, depending on capacity. Consideration should be given to the different term dates operated by the Norwich School, which may affect access to some events/camps for those not at the Norwich School.
