The 8th Norwich (Norwich School) Sea Scouts Group is a registered charity. Details of our trustees and latest accounts can be found on the Charity Commission website.
Our Constitution was adopted in 2026. It is based on The Scout Association’s “Policy, Organisation and Rules” but has been adapted to cover the size and scope of our group and our partnership with Norwich School. As part of this, it sets out the order of precedence of the Constitution, Group Policies, The Scout Association’s “Policy, Organisation and Rules” and our partnership agreements with Norwich School and the Eastern Norwich Scout District.
The Group’s trustees are a mixture of leaders and members. They include ex-officio members, those appointed at our Annual General Meetings and, optionally, some co-opted by the board during the year (see the Constitution for details). The Trustee Board, previously known as the Executive Committee, meets once or twice a term to oversee the running of the group. This includes setting the annual budget and Subscription fees. Matters for the Trustee Board should be sent to the Group Secretary using the contact form.
